EXPO Letter to Future Self set-up and paragraph 1 directions!

EXPO Letter to Future Self set-up and paragraph 1 directions!

Expo is an evening for students in K-8 to display a project they have been working on throughout the school year for family, fellow VCS students, friends, and the community to see! 6th grade will be working on an "All About Me" project that will have many components that will mostly be done in class. One component is the letter to your future self! I can't wait to learn more about you all!

You will be writing a nine paragraph letter to your future self! This will be a fun letter to display on your Expo board, and to keep so you can read it in the future and remember all about your life as it is right now. We will be writing one paragraph at a time with different directions for each paragraph.

To begin, open a google doc and title it, "Letter to Future _______" and put in your first name. All paragraphs should be typed in an easy-to-read 12 point font (such as Times New Roman).

Directions for paragraph one are below. The Final Draft of introduction paragraph should be typed into Google Docs and shared with Mrs. Hull by Monday, January 14.

Introduction Paragraph - At least seven sentences!

Start with:

Dear Future _______________ (your name),

In this paragraph, tell us all about yourself! Include your current age, what city you live in, what school you go to, what grade you are in, and things about your life as it is right now. You can include things such as, your faith, favorite color, book, TV show, hobby, food, clothing, movie, game, sport, activity, etc. Be sure to include a conclusion sentence!

Due 1/14.
