Balboa Park Train Museum
Recently, the 4th graders went on an unforgettable field trip! They experienced things about trains and scale models. Here are some kid’s thoughts when asked about their favorite part. Peyton said, “My favorite part was seeing all the cute tiny stuff.” Nicole said, “Seeing all the accidents.” We also got their opinion on their STEM class at the Train Museum. Most of the class said making a bridge out of gummy bears was the best part. It could hold a brick! . Seeing the scale models was pretty awesome. A majority of the fourth graders said their favorite scale model was a little carnival. Those were our fourth graders perspectives. Now let's move on to Mrs. Taylor’s perspective. She said, “I love how my students knew all the answers to the questions.” Mrs. Taylor also said, "My class was the first ever class to do the STEM project. It was a success!” Because of our fourth grade class, the museum is continuing to do the STEM class and their pictures will be on the Balboa Park Train Museum website. “It takes years and thousands of people to build the scale models,” Mrs. Taylor added. Our fourth graders had an amazing time at the Railroad Museum.
