Dedicated to Mrs. Johnson
Mrs. Johnson is, as described by staff, our amazing, dedicated principal. Every day she comes to school to work hard at helping and maintaining our school. Even before she became principal, she was committed and faithful to VCS. At our school, she was a kindergarten and fourth grade teacher, as well as a mom. For my article, I interviewed Mrs. Johnson in the direction of illustrating what she does for our school.
Q. What is it exactly do you do in the office?
A. I take care of the money; taxes and bills. I run meetings for staff. Also, lots of paper-work.
Q. What part of your job makes it more stressful?
A. Everything, managing the money is the most stressful.
Q. Is there anything staff, parents, even students can do to help make it less stressful?
A. There’s not really anything others can do; it would take longer to teach someone else to do it, rather than to do it myself. Just knowing that people are praying for me and I’m supported is enough.
Q. What makes your job better?
A. The students, seeing you guys on campus!
Q. How does it feel to know that so many people look up to you; like nervous, capable?
I asked Mrs. Johnson if she would like to add a quote addressed to the students at VCS and I personally loved her response:
Never waste an opportunity to be kind to someone.
