East Coast Trip

East Coast Trip

The east coast trip was an outstanding and educational trip taken by some of the seventh and eighth graders. The locations of the trip were Virginia, DC, and Philadelphia. In Virginia we visited Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown. There we enjoyed events such as, original settlement tours, learning different trades, colonial dancing, and many other fun activities. In DC we saw some of the presidential, war, and important personnel memorials. We also visited the National Archives, the Smithsonian's, Fords theater, and a few other historical sites. One of the many God given gifts we received on this trip was the  opportunity to tour the White House which was an amazing and unforgettable experience. On the way to Philadelphia we took a tour of the Gettysburg battlefield in the snow. Also in Philadelphia we were able to witness the unveiling of an exhibit at the Constitution Center, tour the U.S. Mint, see the liberty bell, and go inside Independence Hall. Overall the trip was an amazing, unforgettable, and a once in a lifetime trip! As both Mimi and Mckenzie told me that it was very memorable, and we had a great time.
