Mother's Day Tea
Sunday, May 13, was Mother’s Day. The K - 2nd graders had the privilege of giving their mothers an awesome performance on May 10th and 11th, the Thursday and Friday before Mother’s Day weekend. I got the chance to sit down with some of the kindergarten, first, and second graders. I talked with the second graders, and they all gave me one word that describes the magnificent Mother’s Day tea. Here are some of the answers I received: Allison said “singing,” Michaella said “awesome,” Rylan said “food,” and Mia said “love.” These were just some of the words that they used to describe this event. When I asked them what their favorite part was, Sofia in second grade said “seeing my mom.” Maxwell in kindergarten said “drinking lemonade.” I also asked them, “What did you do?” Brady said, “I read a book” and Gavin said “I ate some food.” I also asked them what their favorite part about their mother was. Here are some of the most adorable answers I have ever heard. Sofia said “they way she loves me.” Carter said “everything.” Brady said “she plays with me.” This was an amazing event that happened at Valley Christian School. Once again, it was a beautiful success and it always will be. All the mothers are pleased every year when they come and watch their little kindergarten, first, and second graders perform for them.
