The upper department recently started new electives! We found out what they are all about!
Picnic Games are simple outdoor games. The students also learn outdoor manners. On April 25th, the students played badminton. On May 9th, the people that were in Picnic Games played a game called Cangium. The object of the game was to throw the frisbee through the slot or into the bin. You have to try to get to twenty one points to win. These are the fun activities kids in Picnic Games got to experience.
In the elective Home Economics, students learn different skills such as sewing. On the first day of the new electives, they sewed buttons to felt sheets to practice. Carly Diago said it is a fun class.
When the people in Newsletter chose their stories they wanted to write about, they interviewed people and received everyone’s opinion on their new elective. For example, the people mentioned above in “Picnic Games,” and “Home Economics,” were interviewed for facts and opinions. Kai Goodman (6th Grade), said, “Newsletter is very fun, but very hard.”
