Ode of the Museum

Ode of the Museum

Ode of the Museum

By: Samantha Randle

The door slides open

You are greeted by a big smile

You smile back at the giant dinosaur

A corner is turned

Then another

Then before you is a replica of a saber tooth tiger

It’s jaw open wide; gazing into the sky

At its side a great mammoth stood

You reach out and touch it

It’s tangled fur runs through your fingers

Then you hear a call

A woman walks in

She takes your hand

It is warm and comforting

Then you and your mother are whisked away into the magic of the museum
