Summer Camp

The summer schedule is here and we are thrilled to bring some new classes to keep our students busy and active over the summer! Nine consecutive weeks of fun will be available beginning June 25. Each week will have a morning class, an afternoon class, movie field trip, and time for learning.

FAQ’s

  • How do I sign up? Sign up forms will be available to print from the website or pick up in the office by April 16. This form will let us know exactly which classes and/or weeks you would like to be a part of. 
  • How do I sign up for leadership training? Applications for students will be available in the office by April 16.
  • What if my plans change? If your schedule clears and you would like to sign up for a class last minute, contact the office and we will see if there is space available. If you need to cancel a class or week of care, you will receive a 50% charge. Because we plan our weeks/classes based on enrollment, backing out of a class affects our staffing.
  • How do I pay? Regular billing statements will be sent via RenWeb in July and August and will be due by the 15th. The week of June 25 will be forwarded to the July statement.
  • Is there a sibling discount? Siblings get a 10% discount.
  • How does the movie day work? Movie tickets are paid for as part of the weekly fee, but if students want to purchase snacks, they will need to bring extra money. Camp Navigator is the exception — movie ticket and snacks are part of the camp field trip. Students will walk to the Edwards Theater on Wednesdays.
  • How much down time will students have? We follow a daily schedule that provides routine and comfort, especially for our first timers. Within that schedule, there is ample time to hang out, play, and enjoy the summer days. Check out the flyer to see how the schedule breaks down.
  • Do I need to sign my child in and out of camp every day? Yes, for the safety of your student we ask that you enter campus and sign in/out with one of our staff.
  • Who can pick up my student? Please keep your ParentsWeb transportation list up to date and let us know in person if there is someone who is not permitted to pick up your student.
  • Do students need to pack a lunch and a snack? Students will need to pack a lunch daily and have plenty of snacks to help them refuel throughout the day. The student store will be open for snacks, but will NOT serve lunch.
  • What about sunscreen? Parents are asked to apply sunscreen before dropping students off. Our staff is not permitted to apply sunscreen to students, so packing a sprayable sunscreen is highly recommended. 
  • What should my student wear? Campers should wear comfortable clothes and athletic shoes every day. It is a good idea to pack a towel, extra clothes, and/or a bathing suit for water play. Girls need to wear a one-piece suit.
  • Can my friends or cousins come to camp with me? You are welcome to bring a friend or relative, but all students enrolled in our programs are subject to the rules/policies of VCS.
  • What is your policy on behavioral problems? Parents will be contacted if there is a continuous problem of non-participation in the program, bullying, stealing, telling off-color stories or using inappropriate language, or any other behavior that detracts from the Christian and wholesome environment the school wishes to provide. Profanity is prohibited. Violent, threatening, dishonest, dangerous, negative or otherwise unsatisfactory behavior on the part of the camper could lead to his or her dismissal from camp.
  • Who are the adults who will be on campus? In addition to the teachers who will be hosting classes, Mrs. Jessi Gibson and Miss Nichole Bryant from after care will be here as well as Miss Madison Roosevelt from kindergarten. All of our adults are First Aid/CPR certified.
